A Season of Firsts

It’s spring, and along with the first flowers and first leaves, Sean is experiencing some firsts of his own: he took his first steps about a month ago and is now almost running; he had his first salon experience; said his first words (“Buh-bye”); and now has caught his first virus.

So obviously, all of these experiences except for the last one have been a lot of fun, and even the flu bug (or whatever it is) can’t keep him down. After upchucking his lunch yesterday afternoon and sleeping for 13 hours last night, he seemed to be feeling a lot better today. He wasn’t as tired and had more of an appetite.

A lot of people have been telling us that this is a fun age for kids, and in the last month, we’re starting to see why. Personally, I can’t wait to start teaching him inappropriate/ironic phrases, like, “Have you seen my smoking jacket?”

Any other suggestions?
