Hi Navy Husband,

I just got on Twitter myself. Still learning it. I'm using it mostly on my regular cell phone using text messages. I'm looking for a network of military husbands who can give me tips. It's been rough having to give up my career and starting over many times when we PCS. Hope to see you on Twitter soon!

You can update twitter via text message from any text-messaging cell phone. That's how I do it, on my extremely dumb old cell phone, the rare times I'm not on the Internet. I keep meaning to blog about why I love Twitter, and why soon you will too, but I haven't so much as opened blogspot on this trip. Poor neglected blog...

Hey Tom! I'm on twitter and I really like it. You can add your updates to the sideline of your blog for added reader interest, and log into the twitter homepage to catch up on all the updates of those that you "follow." I like it because sometimes there are things I want to note on that I don't want to make a full blog about. You can reply to someone's tweet too, so it's sort of like another social network to stay connected.

LOVED the analogy of vacations feeling like getting bucked off a horse!!! That's exactly how I felt over Thanksgiving, except my horse fell into a prairie dog hole and broke it's leg. (which is why we didn't travel for Christmas!)
