As mentioned in the previous post, we had to make the trek from Newport to Providence yesterday to get my iPod fixed.
On the way back, in Cranston, Danielle spotted a Gigantic Dunkin Donuts.

Only in Rhode Island would you encounter a donut shop that spans two storefronts.
It reminded me of Lewis Black’s take on the end of the universe.
Read this if you think it’s just a joke.

Not the same thing, but I enjoy pointing out to people that we live in a town that features a Dunkin’ Donuts across the street from another Dunkin’ Donuts.

This just happened to me yesterday - I was standing outside of a Starbucks in downtown Boston (on Winter St, near the T stop) waiting for it to open. (The details of why don’t really matter.) A man walked up to the door, looked at it, then looked at me. I explained that it wasn’t open yet, but that the School St Starbucks, just 5 blocks “thata way” (I politely pointed using my whole hand down Washington St) was open. He stared at me for a second then said “5 BLOCKS!! UGH! Forget it!” and walked away, disgusted.
I’m not sure where he walked away too, but apparently somewhere closer than 5 blocks away.
