The Life and Times of a Navy Husband

I spent the better part of three days at the hospital over my Thanksgiving holiday. I developed some general abdominal uncomfortableness on Wednesday, and it hadn’t gone away by Friday, so we checked into the emergency room. After a CAT scan, my doctor, the same one who helped me with my elbow seven months ago, told me I had appendicitis.

‘You surprised me,’ she said, ‘but you’ve got a great big fluffy appendix.’

So I thought it only fitting that I name my pus-filled, useless organ Fluffy.
