Another post-less two-week stretch. I blame two things: back-to-back parental visits (mine and my wife’s) and also an inability to get excited about recent book/publishing events.
Book prizes do not, generally, interest me. I care about them if an author I read has been nominated (sort of like the way one is suddenly interested in baseball when his hometown team makes it to the play-offs–go Tigers!), but otherwise it’s just more marketing fodder.
