I went to see Clerks 2 last night and was pleasantly surprised to see a sequel that had all the charm and hilarity of the first movie. Kevin Smith goes to extreme lengths to match the obscenity of the first one (I know the first movie was the first time I’d ever heard of a ’snowball’), but I won’t spoil it for you. Smith’s dialogue is right on, again. What a relief it is to see him come back to this territory: normal people, normal lives, real problems, and surreal situations. After the strangeness of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and the blandness of Jersey Girl, Clerks 2 is definitely refreshing.

As a bonus, it features Rosario Dawson.
